After Drew Cannon ranked the NCAA's top 100 players, we wanted to do the same for the NBA. In the interim, a host of player rankings popped up all over the Internet. So instead, we decided to try something different: Redrafting the NBA.

Over the last three weeks, Basketball Prospectus' four NBA analysts have been drafting two teams apiece for a total of eight teams and 96 players. We will be selecting players strictly on the basis of expected performance during the 2011-12 season, giving our own ranking of sorts--though one affected by positional scarcity and other outside factors.

81. Dan A - David Lee, F/C, Golden State Warriors
This team still needs another rotation wing, but none of the available options intrigue me. I bet I can get a SF/SG of similar quality with my next pick, so why reach now for a questionable upgrade in production? Instead, I'll take Lee, who will make Steve Nash's fast break more effective. I can see plenty of instances where the Dan As use LeBron at power forward and Lee at center.

82. Bradford A - Chris Andersen, C, Denver Nuggets
Since I went with a superfluous wing player last time, I almost have to go big here. Anderson fits as an 8-10 minute player who will maintain my defensive energy and protect the basket. He'll also give my squad a little flair. BWAAAKKK!!!

83. Kevin A - Omer Asik, C, Chicago Bulls
If there was ever any question that Asik was the right fifth big man for a team I envision being coached by Tom Thibodeau, it was erased with his performance in Turkey's victory over Spain in EuroBasket play on Monday. In a game that also featured Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter, Asik was the best big man on the floor, anchoring a Turkish defense that held Spain scoreless for nearly eight minutes in the fourth quarter.

84. Sebastian A - Al Jefferson, C, Utah Jazz
For team A, I am going to go with Al Jefferson. Much like Bradford, I don't know if I have a need for Jefferson, but he is way too talented to pass up with the 84th pick. Jefferson, who was tutored by Kevin McHale, has one of the best post games in the NBA, and having him as my third center--especially when two of the bigs ahead of him are aging and injury prone--is a nice luxury to have.

85. Sebastian B - Gordon Hayward, SF, Utah Jazz
Kevin seems to think that I haven't drafted enough small forwards, so I am taking Gordon Hayward here. Despite my doubts, Hayward put in a very nice rookie season when he made his way onto the court, on both sides of the basketball (who can forget that duel he had with Kobe Bryant towards the tail end of the season). There are worse players who can come off the bench for me.

86. Kevin B - Mo Williams, PG, L.A. Clippers
For my fifth guard, I wanted someone who can play either backcourt position. Williams is a little shorter than ideal for the position, but his ability to play without the ball complements my existing point guards. He won't embarrass himself if forced into the rotation.

87. Bradford B - Andrei Kirilenko, F, Utah Jazz
I'm a little bit concerned this team doesn't have enough defense on the wings, so I'll go with Kirilenko even though I don't love him guarding twos. Shane Battier was a consideration, but I'm concerned that he's lost a little something and I also like Kirilenko's ability to run the floor.

88. Dan B - Jameer Nelson, PG, Orlando Magic
Nelson got the nod over similar-quality point guards Andre Miller and Raymond Felton because of his 3-point shooting. With so many other stars on the team, I expect my point guard to get plenty of open looks beyond the arc.
