Ohio State remains the lone unbeaten team in the nation and the top team on The List for a fourth straight week with a 24-0 record. The Buckeyes stayed perfect by beating Michigan and Minnesota last week.

Joining Ohio State in the top five are Kansas, Texas, Duke and Pittsburgh.

Syracuse and North Carolina are the biggest gainers this week, moving up six spots each as the Orange rise to No. 10 from No. 16 and the Tar Heels go up to No. 13 from No. 19. Meanwhile, West Virginia and Washington both fall six spots to share in being the biggest loser with the Mountaineers dropping to No. 18 from No. 12 and the Huskies sinking to No. 23 from No. 18.

New teams on The List this week are Florida, Vanderbilt and Illinois. Dropping off are Texas A&M, Maryland and Minnesota.

Unlike The Associated Press' media poll and USA Today/ESPN's coaches (i.e.: sports information directors) poll, we take into account subjective data to present our weekly Top 25, a cross section of Ken Pomeroy's Pomeroy Ratings at kenpom.com, the Jeff Sagarin ratings for USA Today at usatoday.com, Team Rankings at teamrankings.com, Kyle Whelliston's State of Basketball rankings at basketballstate.com and the Ratings Percentage Index, more commonly known as the RPI, which can be found at various sources. We also project the 68 teams most deserving of being in the NCAA Tournament.
